Patty was at the Western Dressage Championships with Angie; both were showing Cote’ and dominated. Ivy was running in Edmond at the State 5A Cross Country Championships; Claremore came in 4th of 14 teams and several girls beat their PRs including Ivy. Go Zebras! Not only did we miss out on the party lesson, but winter and daylight savings time came on together. We had a hard freeze Friday night and serious wind all weekend long. Even though “Fall Back” is a bit easier than “Spring Forward,” getting dark before I get to leave the office is really SAD (that would be Seasonal Affective Disorder).
Mallory has been working Silka’s baby, Ahrea and we invited ourselves to Rita’s on Sunday afternoon for a little trail ride in the woods out of the wind. My girls stayed home with their favorite brother but Roxy joined us and we had an excellent ride. Ahhhh, hopefully, enough equine therapy to last me though the week and my trip to SLC for train the trainer training. No party lesson next weekend either since Patty and Ivy will be at the schooling show championships on Saturday. I will be scribing and plotting a ride on Sunday. Somewhere. Somehow. YaYa!
