The number of times (so far) that Thunder has been locked in the shed when we are worried that he was missing. He is so good a sneaking in to spaces he should not be in, Steve missed him when he put a box in the shed this morning. He is one lucky cat. We opened the shed late afternoon to get horse blankets out for the annual blanket wash – and he was patiently (or not) waiting. Not the sharpest tack in the box. Seems none the worse for his ordeal.
No party lesson this week (sad face) but we went to the zoo to see Zoorasic Park. Then I took Splash to Patty’s to ride in the tree farm with Patty, Rhonda, and friends. Rhonda bailed when the weather brewed up a storm but Nancy/Norman, Patty/Pasha, and me/Splash played around in the arena as the storm blew in. Then, we hung out in the barn and watched the rain while we visited. Very relaxing.
On Sunday, Ivy and I took Pico to Glenco to move in with Bob (quarter horse) and Bert (goat) at Pat’s Pet Paradise. Hopefully, Pico will be sound in time, but meanwhile, he and Bob will pal around in the pasture.
The introductions went very well and Bob shared his stall as well as his food and water with his new BFF. Hopefully, the pair will swish flies for each other and share good times. Bert the goat was a bit concerned when Pico arrived, but the horses didn’t seem to care about him.I am in serious need of some riding time with my YaYa sisters. Any plans to share for this week?
