News Flash – Oklahoma weather is unpredictable. Oh, perhaps we already knew that. Eighty degrees on Wednesday with a cold front moving in Wednesday night followed by sleet and snow on Thursday. So, the YaYa’s went to Kathy B’s place for a lovely evening ride down Keetonville Hill on a little windy dirt road, through the fields and woods, and up the steeper side back to the trailers.
The ride was wonderful and Splash was mostly good. Riders were: Kathy, Rita, Sherry, Judy, Lynn, Leila, Marsha, Sydney, me, and Gina, with Gina’s moma and Marion joining in for social hour. We were thinking of summer heat as we headed off down the trail and even encountered some serious mosquitoes (hopefully all killed off by the strange May sleet/snow). The valley was beautiful, the woods lovely. Splash found a field of “horse-nip” after the steep trip back up the hill – he said that was worth the trip. The temperature was already falling as we talked, drank, and snacked.
